Tirana Bank profit for the first quarter of 2017 marks 2.3 million Euro (before taxes)
Tirana Bank profit for the first quarter of 2017 amounted to 2.3 million Euro (before taxes) reflecting the strong performance of the Bank, being at much higher level compared to the same period of 2016. According to the Bank’s financial statements, the main indicators are very positive.
So, ROA (Return on Assets) marked 1.54% on Q1-2017 compared to 0.67% for Q1-2016 and ROE (Return on Equity) marked 8.50% compared to 3.60% for the same period last year.
As of 31.03.2017 Tirana Bank well exceeded all regulatory requirements introduced by the Bank of Albania in view of Capital and Liquidity. The Capital Adequacy Ratio stood at 19.24% meanwhile Liquidity ratio is at the level of 46%.
A very strong achievement of the Bank at the 1st quarter is the decrease in NPLs, being lower around 38% compared to the same period last year. This effort is just a component of the business plan for enhancing new business, exploit market opportunities reshaping the bank itself. “We expect a successful year, and not only, in terms of profitability, NPLs management and financial ratios” commented Konstantinos Tsigaras, Chief Financial Officer.
